I am VERY excited about the newest research about colic. Researchers found that a whopping 82% of infants diagnosed with colic had a particular strain of “bad” bacteria in the GI tracts called H.pylori. H. pylori has received more attention in recent years due to its association with stomach ulcers.
Now, it appears that this same bacteria is also associated with excessive crying in infants. This is also likely why probiotics, or beneficial bacteria, have been helpful in reducing crying in colicky infants. Probiotics, like the ones in Colic Care, can help replace bad bacteria and decrease inflammation in the GI tract. Colic Care is the only colic supplement that contains BOTH probiotics and the botanicals that can help relieve stomach discomfort. Even if your baby isn’t affected by H.pylori, there are numerous benefits from using Colic Care to improve your baby’s digestion. Hopefully, more research will continue to be done to discover all the causes of colic and how probiotics (and Colic Care!) can help your baby!
